RCVS Accredited Equine PracticeSince 1976 there has been a veterinary practice at Tetts Farm treating both horses and small animals. In 1997 the business expanded and the equine side relocated to the Isle Valley Equine Clinic at Eleighwater, Chard.

Purpose-built clinic

The new, purpose-built Equine Clinic is set in 14 acres of pasture on the A358 just north of Chard. We provide up-to-date care for all types of horses and ponies.

Wide-coverage

Our equine service covers a huge area: Somerset, Devon and Dorset. We provide a unique Free Zone service so we can come to you at no extra cost.

You can download some useful guides and documents absolutely free on our website. They range from guides on artificial insemination to our five- or two-stage vetting form.

Client evening: Allergies in horses

Many horses suffer from allergies whether it be skin allergies such as sweet itch or dust allergies resulting in COPD. During this evening’s presentation our vets will focus on some of these complaints with advice on how best to deal with them. They will be joined by a representative from Janssen Animal Health who have recently developed Cavalesse, a new product which helps to maintain and support a healthy skin in horses prone to summer skin allergies.
