We are now members of ISFM: International society for feline medicine. ISFM is the veterinary division of international cat care, a charity dedicated to improving the health and welfare of cats worldwide. The ISFM 'cat friendly clinic' scheme means that accredited Veterinary clinics have reached a higher standard of cat care. We are delighted to announce that we have achieved gold level at our main practice in Stoke Sub Hamdon as well as reaching the silver standard at our Creech St Michael branch. Please click here for more details.
We are an RCVS registered accredited practice at both our 2 small animal practices and our equine clinic. The RCVS Practice Standards Scheme (PSS) is a voluntary initiative to accredit veterinary practices in the UK. Through setting standards and carrying out regular assessments, the Scheme aims to promote and maintain the highest standards of veterinary care. It offers peace of mind to clients of accredited practices and a more informed choice to the animal-owning public. Please click here for more details.
From Tuesday 2nd February 2021, our out of hours emergency service is changing.
There will be a phased introduction of our emergency work being covered by Somerset Veterinary Emergency Clinic, which runs at Quantock Vets, Quantock Terrace, The Drove, Bridgwater TA6 4BA.
Initially the emergency clinic will provide a service out of hours for Isle Valley Vets patients on a Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday between 6.30pm and 8.30am the following morning. At all other times, the service will continue from Isle Valley Vets as it is at present. Our daytime services will remain unchanged.
If you require emergency care for your pet on a Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday please call the Stoke-Sub-Hamdon clinic branch number as usual (01935 310930), your call will be diverted to our answer phone service who will collect your details and contact the Somerset Veterinary Emergency Clinic on your behalf.
The staff on duty at Somerset Veterinary Emergency Clinic will then call you back and arrange an appointment or offer advice as needed.
We feel this is a very positive step forward, they are a specialist emergency veterinary team with emergency equipment at the practice, a designated, experienced vet and nurse on site all night. We feel this service will offer our patients the best possible care outside of our normal working hours.
